Multidisciplinary Teams in Anti-Trafficking Work

We are happy to share with you our newest advisory created in collaboration with Boston University School of Law: “Multidisciplinary Teams in Anti Trafficking Work."

This practice advisory provides guidance to lawyers and social workers who participate in anti-trafficking multidisciplinary teams (“MDTs”). MDTs typically include a range of stake holders, many with different ethical and professional obligations. This can give rise to challenges when serving survivors of human trafficking, particularly in the context of mandatory reporting. This advisory explores such tensions and provide guidance about best practices for individuals in these two professions.

As part of this project, we also share two accompanying memos from BU Law:

Special thanks Professor Julie Dahlstrom and her team at BU Law including Roshni Parikh, Karen Clarke, Amanda Lu, Sophia Luisa Zocca, Michele Shimizu-Kelley, and Julia Wilson for their hard work on this project.
